2nd ASMA Annual Convention and Awards was held at The Leela Palace, Bangalore on August 31-September 1, 2018. QS IGAUGE lent support to the event in the capacity of a Strategic Partner. Through expert-led panel discussions, eye-opening keynotes, power-packed workshops, and awards & recognitions, ASMA Annual Convention & Awards 2018 enthralled the audience with diverse and relevant content on how academic institutions can harness the power of social media for growth and global reach.

Santhosh Karnananda, Head of Client Relations at QS I·GAUGE, moderated a panel discussion on ”Evolving trends in recruiting international students – Impact of digital and social media interventions” on the first day of the event, where they discussed in detail the reasons why India is not considered the most preferred destination for foreign students and the ways and means by which our government establishments and educational institutions can leverage social media to showcase India as an educational hub in the eastern hemisphere. The expert panel included industry heavyweights such as Dr A Vinay Kumar, Director, NMIMS, Dr Priya Kaushal, Director – International Affairs, CRM University, Dr Suneel Sharma, Associate Dean, IFIM Business School, Bengaluru and Mr Ravi Makhija, Director – TIE – UPS International.

On the second day of the event, Santhosh Karnananda conducted a detailed workshop on “Insights in QS Rankings and Ratings”, where he shared the relevance, methodology and USPs of QS Rankings and Ratings and what makes them the most sought after and referred to rankings and ratings across the globe.
