BJMC Course Details
The Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication is a 3-year undergraduate program divided into 6 semesters. The course focuses on fundamentals of journalism, media laws, media organisation and management, mass communication theories, digital media, advertising, PR, news writing and editing, media research, radio and TV broadcasting, photography, film studies, media ethics and research.
Eligibility & Admission
Students after class 12 from any stream and a minimum aggregate of 45-50% are eligible to apply, generally with English as a compulsory subject.
Admission is based on entrance tests such as CUET, IPU CET, JMI, etc.
Fees: In government and affordable private colleges, between Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 1.5 lakhs (for the entire course)
In mid-level private institutions, between Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh per year
In high-end/premium private institutions, about Rs. 4 lakhs per year
