A psychology course has transcended a niche humanities choice to a mainstream career path. Today, stress is everywhere. From work-life balance to dealing with finicky bosses to a lack of recognition, all of it can cause stress in the workplace. Unstable home environments, digital exposure, insecurities, peer pressure, and fear of failure are some of the reasons for emotional and psychological challenges among students. While financial and job insecurity can contribute to anxiety and mental health concerns in young adults, dependence on children, social isolation, and health costs are major sources of emotional strain in older adults.

Psychologists are trained to read these patterns, conduct personality and neuropsychological testing to deliver therapies and counselling to tackle and cope with stress, anxiety, burnout, relationship issues, behavioural issues, etc.
