Launch of SDG Handbook for Indian Higher Education
Subsequent to the PACT2030 inaugural conclave held at Goa in March 2022, based on the insightful discussions and exchange of ideas between some of the top higher education institutions, QS I-GAUGE has developed a Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Handbook which will serve as a ready reckoner for Indian Higher Education Institutions in fostering sustainability initiatives.
PACT2030 (Pledge, Act, Change, and Transform) is a social enterprise that has been constituted by QS I-GAUGE to empower academic institutions to think beyond their boundaries and care for the world. It has a long-term vision and is a scalable model on global platforms. PACT2030 brings together like-minded leaders, founders, and chancellors of academic institutions, policymakers, and the government to engage all the intelligent forces for creating a better world.
The “SDG Handbook for Indian Higher Education” encompasses the following:
- Need for global academic engagement to accelerate SDGs
- Value proposition for academia through SDGs
- PACT2030 – A platform for academic leadership to champion the change towards SDGs
- Global and India’s progress on SDGs
- Current engagement of academia in progressing SDG 4 & 11
- Recommendations for HEIs to spearhead SDG innovations
