Event Overview

QS I-GAUGE was an Awards Partner at the 15th FICCI Higher Education Summit 2019 held from 27 – 29 November 2019 in New Delhi.  The theme of the summit was Creative Economy. Nation Building: Higher Education as the catalyst.

QS delivered two sessions as part of the pre-conference workshop. Mr Ashwin Fernandes, CEO, QS I-GAUGE & Regional Director – MENA & South Asia, QS Quacquarelli Symonds, UK was the moderator for the masterclass on Data Analytics for Institutional Effectiveness and Excellence. The session was presented by Mr Samit Lotlikar, Manager – Institutional Research, Strategy and Future Department, Zayed University, Dubai. The aim of this masterclass was to provide case studies for universities to be more innovative, competitive and enable better decision making abilities based on the use of data; be it data on student learning outcomes, faculty assessment or research metrics, various other data points which will bring about institutional data mindset, and support benchmarking, ratings and rankings. This masterclass was inspired by QS EduData Summit and was a small preview to the wealth of information which institutions would share in the upcoming edition of the summit at the UN headquarters in June 2020.

Dr Habib Fardoun, Professor, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology & Advisor of Vice-President for International Rankings, King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Saudi Arabia shared interesting statistics on the research journey of KAU that left the audience spellbound.
