JSS Institute of Speech and Hearing, Mysuru is a unit of JSS Mahavidyapeetha. The institute is affiliated to the University of Mysore and recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India, Govt. of India. The Institution is also recognized as research center by University of Mysore. The activities of the institute are spread over four major domains like academic, research, clinical and public education activities. The Institute has been offering Bachelors, Maters and Doctoral Programs in Speech and Hearing. The Institute started BASLP program in 2001, MASLP program in 2006 and the Doctoral program in Speech and Hearing (Ph.D) in 2010. The Institution have started specialized Masters Programmes [M.Sc (SLP) and M.Sc (Audiology] from the academic year 2019-20 and also Ph.D (Speech-language pathology), Ph.D (Audiology) from 2022. Till date, 798 BASLP, 267 MASLP, 31 M.Sc (SLP), 40 MSc (Aud) students have graduated from the institute and 6 candidates have been awarded Doctorate degree in Speech & Hearing. The alumni of the institute have been working all over the world in different academic, clinical and research positions.
