Saveetha Institute of Medical & Technical Sciences (Deemed to be University) (SIMATS) was formerly known as Saveetha University, is a UGC approved Deemed University that spans 180+ acres with 40 Lakh sq ft-built area hosting 13 institutions, 5,000 plus staff, and 10,000 plus students. The University has a 33-year history, treats 4000 plus patients a day, 1600 plus faculty (1200 plus Full-time faculty, 600 plus Ph D faculty). The Deemed University has 240 plus foreign faculty, and the overall faculty-student ratio is 1:6.
