Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University)

Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (SBV) is a young Deemed-to-be University, proud of its modernity and yet firmly entrenched in rich educational heritage and ethos. This Deemed University was established in the year 2008 and ever since has been ceaselessly striving to excel in Academics, Research, Patient care and Extension services all done with a view to serving society.

Infusing passion and enthusiasm into the minds of avid students and nurturing their achievements in order to optimise potential is University’s tenet. The Deemed University’s constituent colleges include two Medical Colleges, one Dental College, two Nursing Colleges, a School of Pharmacy, a School of Biological Sciences, Physiotherapy and Allied Health Sciences. The regulatory programmes are all duly recognized by the respective statutory councils, viz., Medical Council of India, Dental Council of India, Indian Nursing Council and Pharmacy Council. Whereas innovative curricula synonymous with academic flexibility vested with the Deemed Universities are being promulgated through value-added programmes across the academic programmes of Allied Health Sciences.

The visibility of SBV is enhanced by the “A” Grade conferred on it by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). SBV has been successively ranked one among the top 100 Indian Universities, based on the India rankings, released by NIRF for the years 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 respectively.

SBV has been recognised as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. The Medical Simulation Centre housed in the Main campus has got the approbation of the American Heart Association (AHA) to function as an International Training Centre. The School of Biological Sciences is a unique and recent concept that would eventually integrate biological sciences with medical sciences. The exclusive Mahatma Gandhi Medical Advanced Research Institute is poised to create newer vistas in higher education.
