QS conducted Presidents' and Vice-Chancellors' Roundtable, Bangalore Edition as part of QS's 30th anniversary celebration series. The theme of the workshop was 'Indian Universities in the 21st Century - Measuring Excellence through Rankings & Ratings'. The roundtable was Chaired by Mr Ben Sowter, Senior Vice President, QS Quacquarelli Symonds. The event was graced by the presence of Dr Bhushan Patwardhan, Vice-Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) as the chief guest. The Guests of Honour at the event were Dr (Mrs) Pankaj Mittal, Secretary-General, Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Prof Amiya Kumar Rath, Senior Adviser, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The event witnessed interesting viewpoints on the subject from acclaimed academicians. One of the key topics debated during the round table was; the necessity of rankings and ratings to create awareness and competitiveness among institutions that acts as an enabler to build world class universities.

The round table panel stimulated thought provoking discussion by providing various viewpoints on the subject. Over 40 dignitaries from eminent institutions across India shared their ideas and vision to make India the hub of world class institutions.

The team at QS is committed to derive outcomes from every external engagement or interactions with institutions.
